Augusta House is located on Augusta St, a popular street for pub like restaurants. A cozy pub atmosphere inside a Victorian style property, comfort greets you as you walk in the door! Generally hosting live music on the weekends we made it in for a late dinner to celebrate a couple friends' birthdays before the music started. That was probably a good thing as our table was beside the "stage" area and our conversations would've been drowned out by the band! That being said I have been here specifically for the music and it's a great intimate venue to enjoy if you're there for that purpose. Not too hungry I decided to order the Spinach Dip as that's one of my favourite appetizers. Made with smoked gouda, cream cheese, & spinach this recipe was a step up from your typical dip. The gouda added great flavour to make this dish rich and creamy, definitely a winner for me! Served with mostly corn chips, I would've preferred more piadina pieces. Prices are reasonable with most items in the $15-$20 range. There's a lot more on this menu that I need to try!
