Today my friend and I stopped in at Jack & Lois for lunch. Located on James St N, Jack & Lois is a quaint diner type spot decked out in your grandparent's formica tables & old acrylic paintings. A cozy atmosphere that matches their comfort food menu. We had such a hard time deciding what to order as it all looked tasty! They serve all day breakfast and the plates are heaping, however we didn't feel like breakfast food. The menu also offers burgers, variations of grilled cheese sandwiches, other sandwiches, mac & cheese, soups & salads, and a handful of sides. We decided to split the Burt Reynolds sandwich and each get a small order of Mac & Cheese, Jackie ordered the lobster Mac and I ordered the original. Before our lunch came we were given complementary home made potato chips which were addicting! The Burt Reynolds was loaded with Stuffed Meatballs, Caramelized Onions, Basil, Butter Fried Mushrooms, Asiago with House Marinara on a soft Baguette. The meatballs were incredibly tender and paired well with everything else in the sandwich. A very good sandwich but very messy! And who doesn't love Mac & Cheese? The small portion was a great side to add to a meal. A nice blend of their cheese sauce with cheddar, asiago, & spice blend. Nothing on the menu is over $15 however sandwiches come on their own and you need to order sides in addition. We finished our meal with a Hot Chocolate & Baileys, had to warm up before going outside again!! A great cozy spot to grab a warm hearty meal!

"Like" their facebook page for updates! (Our hot chocolate was free today because we mentioned the post we saw)
