So you can never go wrong with The Keg! We celebrated my step dad's birthday last night and this was his choice for his birthday restaurant.

The menu prices have definitely increased since the last time I've been there but the quality of the food is still delicious! Most entrees are $30+ however there are a couple dishes to choose from that are slightly less. I ordered the 6oz top sirloin (med-well) with a whisky peppercorn sauce & garlic mashed. My steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were creamy and flavourful. The whisky peppercorn sauce added a nice flavour to the steak that I enjoyed however it's loaded with peppercorns and therefor very "spicy".

We sat in the bar since the dining room was full and had a 30-45 min wait. Friendly atmosphere, children are welcome in the bar and the music is not too loud that you can still have a conversation. Our waiter was typically a dining room server and was helping in the bar since it was busy. He wasn't familiar with some of the questions we asked but went out of his was to comp us a salad since he felt it necessary (above and beyond what he needed to do as we didn't complain at all!).

Overall a very positive experience and always a favourite spot for a great meal!
